Mercer‘s understanding of „Quality of Living“ includes 10 key kategories, for example „Political and Social Environment“, „Consumer Goods“, „Medical and Health Considerations“, „Public Services and Transport“, „Housing“, etc.

New York (No.47) serves as the base city, and all other cities are ranked in relation to it.
